The Davos Family Holiday Weeks offer relief for families with children and young people with a life-limiting illness and their healthy siblings. On various dates throughout the year, usually during the summer and autumn holidays, affected families can enjoy a week’s “holiday in the mountains”.

During the holiday weeks, the sick children are professionally cared for by qualified nursing staff if necessary. A team of local volunteers supports the Children’s Hospice Foundation so that the whole family can benefit from this week of relief.

From pilot project to a complete programme!

Since its launch in 2014, the family holiday weeks in Davos have been a great success, as the following feedback from a participating family show:

“We were well looked after and supported all round, without it being intrusive for us. We were all able to relax and recharge our batteries in the clear mountain air.”

Was als Pilot-Projekt ins Leben gerufen wurde, hat sich schnell als festes Angebot der Stiftung etabliert. Betroffene Familien sind herzlich eingeladen an den Familien Ferienwochen teilzunehmen und eine Interessenbekundung abzugeben, mit der wir den Prüfungsprozess starten können. Wir freuen uns mit jeder Familie, die berücksichtigt werden kann.
