An idea and many donated rocking animals are now becoming a visible symbol: On September 1, 100 rocking animals will be on display at Zurich’s Lindenhof. Each one symbolizes 100 of the 10,000 children and young people in Switzerland who are living with a serious, incurable illness. In the public eye, they and their families often remain invisible.
From 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., our installation at the Lindenhof brings this reality to life. An informational trail tells the story of the daily lives of affected families, the gap between the hospital and home—and why places like the Flamingo Children’s Hospice are needed.
Starting now through September 8, the rocking animals will also be auctioned off to benefit the Flamingo Children’s Hospice. You can bid on a rocking animal either for yourself or as a gift for the Flamingo Children’s Hospice.
We appreciate every bid and every visit to the Lindenhof!
